Consumer Fraud Act and Construction Law

In the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, many New Jersey residents still have construction issues.  For some, contractors are suspected with malfeasance.  Some are as blatant as taking money for rebuilds and failing to appear.  Nearly three years after the storm that rocked the Jersey shore, it seems incredulous that some jobs remain undone.  Our dedicated attorneys also assist with these types of construction issues.

As Ocean County construction attorneys, the Law Offices of Law Offices of DiFrancia & Price, P.C. is fully familiar with New Jersey’s Consumer Fraud Act and its impact on home improvements.  We are aware that shoddy workmanship and incomplete jobs are a reality.

If a contractor you hired has failed to complete or finish work, you do have legal remedies under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act.   It might interest you to know that in the first quarter of 2016, 51 contractors were issued violations.  As a result, they were assessed civil penalties and restitution to unhappy customers.
